Output profile
The Output profile print option specifies the output profile used to process a job. Color data in a print job is converted to the color space of the printer, which is described by the output profile.
In addition, the calibration that is associated with the output profile is applied to the job before printing.
The Fiery Server includes one or more default output profiles, each created for a specific media type. You can also import your own output profiles to the Fiery Server.
Use job defined settings/Use media defined profile
Rather than select a specific output profile for your job, you can let the Fiery Server determine the output profile automatically. The color mode and media type used in the print job determine the profile, or if the job uses media from Paper Catalog, the output profile specified in Paper Catalog is used.
For a Fiery Server with FS150/150 Pro or earlier software: Set Output profile to Use media defined profile.
For a Fiery Server with FS200/200 Pro or later software: Set Output profile to Use job defined settings.
Device link profiles
When you select a specific output profile in combination with CMYK/Grayscale Device Link or RGB Device Link, the combination specifies a CMYK-to-CMYK or RGB-to-CMYK device link profile.
The CMYK/Grayscale Device Link or RGB Device Link profile setting and the Output profile setting are used in combination to activate a device link profile. The device link profile must already be associated with specific settings for Output profile and CMYK/Grayscale Device Link or RGB Device Link. In this case, the selected output profile is not used for color management, since the device link profile is used.
