Backup & Restore

You can back up and restore settings, resources, and workflows, but not jobs.

You can specify backup locations and execute both backup and restore from the tab in Account settings. The process of restoring a backup will delete all current jobs in Fiery JobFlow.

Backup

  • Choose location: Choose from the already added (SMB, FTP, sFTP or Dropbox) locations in Fiery JobFlow. The maximum number of backups allowed in each location is 30. When the thirty-first backup is initiated for a location, the oldest backup will be deleted. Backups are made automatically once a day when a location has been selected. Make sure the location has a minimum of 50 MB available.
  • Backup now button: Click to back up the account settings, module settings, resources, and workflows manually.

Restore

The Restore options function offers the following choices:

  • From a specific location: Select the backup file to restore from a specific location.
  • From a recent backup: Choose from a list of backups present in the selected location that are sorted by date. Additional columns in the table show name of the backup file and the details of the settings in the respective file.
  • Restore button: Having selected the location of the backup, click to start the restoration.

Automatic Backup & Restore

Fiery JobFlow automatically backups workflows, Fiery JobFlow resources, and settings every day to the following location in your local system:

E:/efi/server/persist/fieryjobflow/backup.
  • Fiery Backup: Fiery Backup operation copies all the data from E:/efi/server/persist/fieryjobflow/backup.
  • Fiery Restore: Fiery Restore operation copies the file to E:/efi/server/persist/fieryjobflow/backup
  • Fiery Restore operation creates a touch file to E:/efi/server/persist/fieryjobflow/restore_data
  • After you reboot the Fiery server, Fiery JobFlow restores its resources from E:/efi/server/persist/fieryjobflow/backup and deletes E:/efi/server/persit/fieryjobflow/restore_data file.

Fiery JobFlow backup files are created in the location J://.FieryJobFlowBackup. The backup is initiated once per day and occurs at midnight. A maximum of 14 backup files are stored in the backup folder, and older files are automatically deleted and sent to the Recycle Bin folder.

J://.FieryJobFlowBackup folder must be deleted during Fiery JobFlow uninstallation.

This applies to Fiery JobFlow installed on Fiery. When Fiery JobFlow is installed on a standalone system, if a backup location has been set, it will also do an automatic backup.
