Output

The Output module is automatically added when you create a workflow. Use the Output module to add output devices and select job actions and job presets.

The Output module allows you to choose from either the Fiery server, Fiery XF, Fiery Central printer group selected during setup, a Dropbox account, SMB, FTP, email, or sFTP location. For the selected Fiery server or Fiery Central printer group, you can select from the list of presets shown. The presets are the server presets on the selected Fiery server or Fiery Central printer group.

The Output module has the following settings:

  • Output: Select from a Fiery server, Fiery XF, Fiery Central printer group, a Dropbox account, SMB, FTP, email account, or sFTP locations. If you selected a Fiery server, select a job action and a job preset, then click Save.

Note: You must set up locations for them to be displayed in the Output module.

You can define email as an output location. You can configure email with the name, Output Email Address, Subject, and From Address. If a workflow includes Email Input, you have the option to choose the original sender's email address as the recipient for the email sent through the Email Input module. Other alternatives include specifying a custom email address or using the default email address.

  • Fiery JobExpert: For Fiery servers FS400 Pro or later, you can use JobExpert to apply suggested job properties to jobs. JobExpert analyzes the job and optimizes job properties to provide high-quality output.

To enable JobExpert, select the Apply JobExpert check box and choose an option from the list of predefined rules.

  • For Fiery servers you have the option to add up to two substitute Fiery servers. If the output Fiery server is unavailable, jobs will be redirected to the first substitute Fiery server. In the event that the first substitute Fiery server is down, jobs will be redirected to the second substitute Fiery server.

If a redirection email is selected in the Notification Settings, then an email notification is sent with details of the Fiery server name to which the job is redirected.

Note: Fiery JobFlow sends a job to a substitute Fiery when Fiery is in an error state, there is a paper jam or the paper supply runs out.
  • To add a substitute Fiery server, click the plus sign. Choose a Fiery server from the Output list and select a job action and a job preset, then click Save.
Note: Substitute Fiery servers are only available for Fiery servers. Substitute Fiery servers are not available for Fiery XF or Fiery Central servers.
  • The following are a part of the Output master variables:
    • Preset option for Fiery server and Ticket (.csv) jobs.
    • Workflow and media options for Fiery XF.
