Print measurement pages
Measurement pages contain patches of various colors that you measure with an instrument. You can also load measurements from a file.
- If you will measure the page after you print it, connect the measurement instrument to your computer.
- Some or all of the following options may be
available. Select the settings that are appropriate for your task:
-
Select None (Save as PDF) to save the page for printing, or select a Fiery Server to connect to and print the page.
Instrument - To measure pages, select the measurement instrument, or to load measurements from a file, select Load measurements and select the file.
Optionally, click Settings to set options for the instrument.
Measure - Select the type of measurement, or to import a patch layout from a file, select Import and select the file.
-
Patch layout - The layout affects the number, colors, and order of the patches. Different layouts are available depending on the measurement type.
Fewer patches are faster to use, but more patches generally produce higher quality results.
Sorted patches are printed on the page in the order of their hue and saturation levels. Random patches are printed on the page in random order, to help compensate for density inconsistencies on different areas of the page
-
Paper size - Select a paper size for printing the measurement page or click Custom and specify a custom page size.
-
- Click Next to save the PDF file or, if you connected to a Fiery Server, to print the measurement page.
Before printing a measurement page, you can set print options and other settings for sending the page to the Fiery Server. Do not change any color management settings.
- If you saved a PDF file, print it and then click Measure.
