Active Hot Folders are monitored by the Hot Folders application. Deactivated Hot Folders are not monitored.

The icons for Activate and Deactivate in the Fiery Hot Folders Console show as enabled or grayed out, according to the status of the Hot Folder. If the Hot Folder is activated, you cannot select Activate. When the Hot Folder has been deactivated, you cannot select Deactivate.

When you update the settings or Fiery server connection, or if you want to delete, edit, or rename a Hot Folder, you must first deactivate the folder.
