Rename a Hot Folder
When you rename a Hot Folder, first deactivate the Hot Folder, which takes it offline and prevents changes to a Hot Folder that is in use. (A Hot Folder can be shared on a network). You can then rename the Hot Folder within the Fiery Hot Folders Console.
Important: Use the Fiery Hot
Folders Console to rename a hot folder, not the Windows and Mac OS file renaming
features. If you try to rename a Hot Folder in Windows, you receive an error message, instructing
you to use the Fiery Hot Folders Console. If you try to rename a Hot Folder in
Mac OS, no error occurs, but the Hot Folder becomes invalid.
- In the Fiery Hot Folders Console, select the Hot Folder to rename and click Deactivate on the taskbar.
- Double-click the Hot Folder in the Fiery Hot Folders Console.
- Type the new name in the Folder name field.
