Creating a Hot Folder
You can create as many Hot Folders as you want, each with a distinct profile of print settings for a specific type of output.
When you create a new Hot Folder, the following apply:
You connect the Hot Folder to a Fiery server.
A new Hot Folder cannot have the same name as an existing folder.
You cannot create a Hot Folder on a network drive, such as a common file server.
Each time you create a new Hot Folder, the Hot Folders application automatically creates supporting folders, one of which stores the original files for jobs submitted to the Hot Folder after the jobs have printed (if Hot Folders preferences are configured to save original files). The original files receive file names based on the current date and time (YYYYMDHHMMSec).
