The spot color gradation editor will modify the brightness of the gradients
for a spot color.
Note: If a spot color has a specialty color component in it, both the process colors and
specialty color component will be affected by the gradation curve.
-
In Spot Pro, select a spot color and click the
Edit icon ().
-
Select the Gradation tab.
-
In the Input and Output table,
type a gradient between 1 and 99.
The values in the table represent a percentage of the color tint. The values
0 (zero) and 100 cannot be modified.
The values are applied to the primary process colors and specialty colors and
are shown on the tonal curve.
Note: You can have a maximum of up to 15 values including 0 (zero) and 100. Add
a row with the “+” icon. After the fifteenth row is added, the “+” icon is
unavailable.
-
To modify a gradation point along the curve, drag the point upward (to add
color), or downward (to subtract color). You can also type the required
coordinates directly in the table.
-
To delete a gradient, select a row in the table and press Delete key.
-
To reset the gradation curve, click the Reset icon
() to revert to the original values of 0 (zero) and
100.
