Assign job tags to a job

You can add one or more tags to a job, which can help you to sort and organize jobs. You create a tag, choose the name and color of the tag, and then assign it to a job. Tags are saved with jobs for a particular Fiery server. After you assign tags to jobs, the color icons for the tags appear in the Tags column.

For more information on adding columns in Command WorkStation, see Change the column display .

You can apply a maximum of five tags per job, with a maximum of 50 tags per Fiery server.

  1. To assign a tag to a job, select the job and do one of the following:
    • Actions > Tags.
    • Right-click the job and select Tags.
You can also select more than one job at a time.
  2. Select an existing tag, or click Add New.
  3. To assign a different or additional tag to a job that has already has a tag assigned to it, you can use the same method as when you originally assigned the tag, or in the Job Summary pane, click the pencil icon next to the Tags section. Tags that are already created can also be assigned in Job Properties > Job info. Tags selected in Job Properties can be saved as part of a Server Preset, Virtual Printer or Hot Folder.
  4. To view all jobs that have the same tag, click the tag name under the list of queues in the Servers pane. The first 10 created tags are listed under each Fiery server with the tag name, tag color, and number of jobs that use the tag. To change the order of the tags, select Manage Tags.
