You can edit a spot color with a specialty color component; for example, you
may choose to edit/define a spot color with CMYK + silver component by specifying the % for
the specialty color.
-
In Spot Pro, select a spot color and click the
Edit icon ().
-
Select the Color Definition tab.
-
Edit the spot color separation (%) values.
The preview patch will display
an exclamation mark within a circle () as a visual indication that the patch has some silver/gold/specialty
color in it.
When you edit the specialty color value, the new color is shown as the
converted patch color, which is a preview patch of the original color mixed
with the specialty color.
Note:
A green check mark () is shown next to the spot color group name
if a specialty color was added to one or more spot colors and turned on
for the group. A yellow exclamation mark () is shown next to the spot color group name
if a specialty color was added to one or more spot colors and turned off
for the group.
-
Click the Reset icon ()
to revert to the original value of the spot color when created, which is shown
in the Original.
