Manage fonts on the Fiery server

You can add, update, and delete fonts, as well as print a font list.

In Configure, the Security > PostScript Security feature must disabled and the Job Submission > Queues > Publish Font Queue feature must be enabled to allow downloading with third-party font download applications. For security reasons, enable the Font Queue only while installing fonts.

Note: The PCL option is available on a Fiery server that supports it. Support is limited to viewing the PCL Font List. PCL font downloading is not available.

Note: All Japanese fonts resident on the server or downloaded by a supported application are locked. Japanese fonts downloaded to the Fiery server can only be deleted by the installing application.

Open Device Center in one of the following ways:
- Click the More icon (three vertical dots) next to the server name in the Servers pane.
- Double-click the server name in the Servers pane.
- Click Server > Device Center.
- Right-click the server name and select Device Center.
Click Resources > Fonts.
A list of the fonts that currently reside on the Fiery server appears.
Manage the fonts by using the toolbar buttons:
- To add or update fonts, click Add New. (You can add Adobe PostScript Type 1 fonts.) Click Add to locate the font that you wish to download, and then click OK and Refresh.
- To delete a font, select an unlocked font in the Font List and click Delete. Locked fonts cannot be deleted.
- To print the Font List, click Print.
