Changes from Fiery ImageViewer 3.0 to Fiery ImageViewer 4.0
Description of changes between Fiery ImageViewer 3.0 and Fiery ImageViewer 4.0.
- Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 is based on OpenGL rendering architecture. For this reason, Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 requires a video card/GPU that supports OpenGL version 3.2 and above. If this requirement is not met, then Fiery ImageViewer 3.0 will be launched. The OpenGL version can be checked using third party software, such as OpenGL extension viewer.
- Fiery ImageViewer 3.0 is launched if Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 cannot launch due to video card limitations.
- Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 cannot be launched if you log on to the client computer using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection. For Remote Desktop Connections, Fiery ImageViewer 3.0 is typically launched.
- Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 can have only five sessions open at a time.
- Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 shows the raster at the center of the canvas; Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 has the capability of centered image panning.
- The Monitor Profile option and information to download Fiery Color Profiler Suite has been removed from the Preferences window. Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 uses the operating system default profile for the monitor, including for multiple monitors.
- Unfocused area in the Navigator pane is grayed out.
- The Halftone simulation option is not supported.
- The Magnifier tool is not supported.
- Fiery ImageViewer 4.0 is not supported on black-and-white products. Fiery ImageViewer 3.0 will launch instead.
