Fiery ImageViewer toolbar for quick access to common actions

The Fiery ImageViewer toolbar provides quick access to common actions that can be applied to the job. To show or hide the toolbar, click the ‘t’ key to toggle.

Some toolbar icons are available only if the Fiery server supports them.

Button Description

Save

The Save button saves the current settings for the job.

Revert

The Revert button reverts to the previous settings for the job.

Magnifier

(Fiery ImageViewer v4) Zooms in on the image by a fraction.

Wiper

(Fiery ImageViewer v4) The Wiper button provides split screen on a diagonal, so the user can see the image before and after adjustments are made. The user can pan the image to move the split to before or after correction.

To move or swipe the diagonal on the image, click ctrl+alt for Windows and click cmd+opt for macOS and use the wheel on the mouse to spin the diagonal.

Rotate

The Rotation button allows you to rotate the Image Preview display in 90-degree increments.

Note: This action does not alter the orientation of the final printing output. Rotation is a global setting that affects all pages within the job.

Shrink/Stretch

The Shrink/Stretch button toggles between showing the shrinkage or stretch that is applied to the job based on the Job Properties, Substrate tab > Width scaling and Length scaling options. The options must be set above or below 100% for the Shrink/Stretch icon to appear in Fiery ImageViewer.

The button is available only for high-speed inkjet presses that support the feature.

Single-sided

The icon is shown for a single-sided job, and available only for high-speed inkjet presses that support the feature.

Double-sided

The icon is shown for a double-sided job, and available only for high-speed inkjet presses that support the feature.

Local Correction

The Local Correction tool allows you to draw a selection box anywhere on the image to locally perform color replacement.

The button is available only for the Fiery server that supports the Local Color Replacement feature.

Local Color Edit

The Local Color Edit icon is shown in the history for local color correction.

Page Color Edit

The Page Color Edit icon is shown in the history for page color correction.

Soft Proof enabled

The Soft Proof button shows when ink limitation is turned off and provides an accurate soft proof of the job.

Soft Proof disabled

The Soft Proof button shows when ink limitation is turned on and a soft proof cannot be seen. To preview specialty colors, soft proof is disabled.
