Print from Job Editor

You can print an edited job or a step and repeat directly from Job Editor. The available settings vary depending on whether you are printing a single-page job, a multi-page job, or a step-and-repeat job.

Before printing, make sure that you have saved your changes.
  1. In Job Editor: On the Printer tab, expand the Print Settings panel.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Single-page job: Type in the number of required copies.
    • Step-and-repeat job: Do one of the following:
      • Select Copies, and type in the number of required copies. One copy is equal to the repeat size configured on the Step and Repeat panel.
      • Select Print length, and type in the length of substrate to be printed.
      • Select Range, and type in the range of page numbers to be printed.
    • Multi-page job: Do one of the following:
      • Select Copies, and type in the number of required copies.
      • Select Range, and type in the range of page numbers to be printed. Type individual page numbers in ascending order and separated by commas, or type a range of pages separated by a hyphen.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select File > Process and Hold.
    • Select File > Rush Process and Hold.
    • Select File > Send to Ready to Print
Jobs are displayed in Job Center in the corresponding queue.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Processed and held jobs: Select the job and select Actions > Send to Ready to Print. At the press software, retrieve the job for printing.
    • Ready to print jobs: At the press software, retrieve the job for printing.
If multiple jobs are ready for printing, rushed jobs go straight to the front of the print queue in the press software.
