Local area correction
The local area correction feature lets you apply color corrections to a specific area of a page, rather than the entire image. This targeted approach allows for precise adjustments where they are most needed. The Local area correction feature is available only in Fiery ImageViewer 4.2 and later.
With this feature, you can:
-
Select a region of the image to correct using a marquee selection.
-
Replace a color in the selected area by using Color Replacement.
-
Adjust individual color curves within the selected area for more refined corrections.
-
Apply color replacement to either a single page or the same area across all pages in the document.
All edits, whether made with Color Replacement or color curve adjustment, appear in the Edits pane. Icons indicate whether the edit is a color replacement or a color curve adjustment, at the local or page level. You can toggle the visibility of each edit using the eye icon to compare it with the original image.
Apply Local area correction to an image
You can correct colors within a specific area of an image using Local area correction.
The Edits pane displays all color edits made at the local level or page level. You can manage local edits in the Edits pane using the following options:
-
Toggle between the local color replacement and the original color by clicking the eye icon for any row listed in the Edits pane.
-
Identify the edit type by the icon in the Edits column. The paintbrush icon indicates a color replacement made in the Color Replacement pane, and the wavy line icon indicates a color curve change made in the Color Adjust pane.
-
To apply the local color replacement to all pages in the document, select the All Pages check box for that specific color replacement. The specified area on all pages in the document displays the same color replacement.
-
To adjust the local color replacement area, click the color replacement row in the Edits pane, and then adjust the marquee selection for the specific area.
