Print a swatch book of one or more spot colors

When you print a swatch book, you select one or more spot colors and a layout.

  1. In Spot Pro, select one or more spot colors.

You can shift-click to select consecutive colors or ctrl-click or cmd-click to select or deselect specific colors.

To select spot colors from multiple spot color groups, drag the spot colors from the internal spot color groups to the custom spot color section.

  2. Click Print or right-click to select Print from the menu, and select Swatch book.
Note: Depending on the Fiery server, you may have a Print, Print to queue, or Send to printing option.
  3. Select a patch size.

The size is shown in mm or inches based on the Command WorkStation regional settings.

  4. Select a chart size.

Width and height for custom charts can be defined between 5.0 inches and 39.37 inches.

The chart size will also be limited to the largest media that the printer or press can handle.

  5. Select a media or substrate source.
  6. To print the measured ΔE value on the color swatch book, select the Show Measured ∆E2000 value check box.
  7. Specify the customer name and contact information.

In the Customer name and Contact information fields, you can specify up to five lines of text with each line having a maximum of 35 characters.

The Fiery logo and the manufacturer logo, where available, are printed.

  8. Click Job Properties to specify additional print settings.
  9. Click OK to print a spot color swatch book.

If the chart size is greater than the paper size available through the paper source, a warning message will appear and the OK button will be disabled.

The job appears as a multipage PDF file in Command WorkStation Job Center. In the printed job, the spot color name and the CMYK color values are printed under each color patch.
