Specialty color and spot color mixing
Spot Pro supports adding, editing or mixing specialty colors to process spot colors. Specialty colors are not supported for every Fiery server. More than one specialty color can be added or edited depending on the capability of the printer or press.
A specialty color mixed with a spot color can be saved as Named ICC Profiles but cannot be saved in .ASE Adobe libraries.
Advanced users can edit or create a spot color and add specialty colors to it so that unique effects can be generated using silver, gold, neon pink etc. for printing symbols or monograms.
- The specialty color must be installed on the printer or press to be available in Spot Pro.
- The specialty color must be licensed and does not need to be installed on the printer or press to be available in Spot Pro.
When Spot Pro is launched, the Specialty Colors feature is disabled by default. The specialty toner must be loaded and configured on the Fiery server and you must turn on the Specialty Colors feature for a specific color group in Spot Pro to use it.
The Fiery ColorRight Package or Fiery Graphic Arts Pro Package must be installed on the Fiery server with Fiery System Software FS 400 and later.
