You turn on smart media in the Paper Catalog Settings dialog box.

1. Do one of the following:

   • In Device Center, choose Paper Catalog under Resources.

   • Choose Server > Paper Catalog.

   • Click the Paper Catalog icon in the Job Center toolbar.

   • Right-click the Fiery Server in the Servers list and select Paper Catalog.
2. Click the Settings button.
3. Select PPD based.
   Note: JDF based media attributes cannot be used when defining smart media.
4. If Enable Smart Media is not selected, select it.
5. Click Close or Manage.
