Lock or unlock a printer

To remove a license from a printer, you can manually lock that printer. After the license is removed, you can unlock a different printer to reassign the license to that printer.

You must activate a valid license to import, process, or print jobs on a printer connected to Fiery XF. When you set up a new printer, Fiery XF automatically checks for a corresponding license and activates it. If a matching license is not available, Fiery XF locks the printer.

In Server Manager, click Printers on the sidebar.
Right-click a printer and do one of the following:
- Select Lock to remove the license from the printer.
- Select Unlock to assign an available license to the printer.
