Restore a system backup

You can return a Fiery system to a former state by restoring a previously created backup.

Note: A backup will delete any existing calibrations and profiles, and replace them with those from the backup file. Jobs will not be restored from the backup file.
  1. In Server Manager: Click Server, click Backup & Restore, and then click Restore.
  2. Select a backup file from the list.

By default, the list displays backup files that are saved to the desktop. If the backup file is saved elsewhere, click Choose and browse to that location.

  3. (Optional) Select Restore server identifier to restore the server identifier included in the backup.

If you restore the original server identifier, the Fiery ColorGuard history from the Fiery XF server used to create the backup is retained. This is useful when you are migrating a Fiery XF server to new hardware.

  4. Click Restore.
  5. Restart the Fiery server.
