Set color benchmark

A new calibration produces a reference color state, a "benchmark", that each recalibration will attempt to reach.

The benchmark is the color response expected from your printer when properly calibrated to the printing conditions you have just defined (media, resolution, halftone, etc.). An output profile describing the color space produced by this calibrated state will be needed by the server to correctly color manage your printer. If you are not satisfied with the calibration, review the previous steps.

When recalibrating, you want the recalibration results to confirm if your printer is still performing to the original benchmark for the specified calibration set.
Note: Options vary depending on the Fiery server. Some Fiery servers will automatically calculate the color benchmark during the profile creation step. For other Fiery servers, you will need to print and measure patches to set the color benchmark.

A straight diagonal line on the graph represents the theoretical target color benchmark, with each CMYK measurement represented as the actual color produced by the printer. Slight deviations are expected. They represent the actual calibrated response of the profiled condition. Two Fiery Color Profiler Suite modules, Fiery Profile Inspector andFiery Verify, can be used to view more detailed information.
