Encrypt the operating system drive

If your Fiery server has the TPM option installed and licensed, you can encrypt the operating system drive.

Fiery System image and Fiery Deployable Image will be disabled.

If the TPM chip is corrupted or removed after enabling disk encryption, you must reinstall system software. Enabling OS drive encryption does not ask for a passphrase, but you are given the opportunity to create a backup of the recovery key.

  1. From Configure, choose Security > Data Encryption.
  2. Click the OS Drive tab.
  3. Select Enable OS Drive Encryption.
  4. Click Save and follow the on-screen instructions. You cannot cancel the encryption process.
