Configure Universal Print

Ensure the following:

  • You have a Microsoft Azure AD (AAD) Account with Printer Administrator or Global Administrator privileges.
  • IPP is enabled on the Fiery server.
  • Windows 10 Client version 1903 or later.

To register your Fiery server with Universal Print by Microsoft, do the following:

  1. Go to Configure > Network > Universal Print.

The Default printer name appears. The printer name is the same as the Fiery servername.

  2. Change the printer name, if required, or enter the Fiery server's IPv4 address.
  3. Click Register. You will receive an authentication code after a few seconds.
Note: The authentication code expires after 13 minutes. Complete the registration process before the code expires.
  4. Copy or write down the code and click the link for Microsoft's website displayed on the screen. A Microsoft-managed webpage opens.
  5. Paste or type the authentication code into the code field in the Enter code window, then click Next.
  6. Select the appropriate Microsoft® AAD account in the Pick an account window.
Note: The AAD account must have Printer Administrator or Global Administrator privileges. This account is used solely to establish a trusted connection for the device with the Universal Print service. After registration, the Universal Print does not use this account again.
A notification to confirm the Fiery server registration with the Universal Print Portal appears.
  7. Click Continue. After a few seconds, a confirmation message that shows you have signed in to the Fiery server Universal Print application appears. You can close this window.
  8. Go back to Configure > Network > Universal Print and check the registration status. Device registration is in progress or Device successfully registered message is displayed, and the device is online.
