In a variable data document design, you can specify X axis and Y axis
offsets to position one or more variables at a precise location in the design. The X axis
and Y axis values specify the offset from the upper left corner of the design in points. You
can specify width and height values in points to change the size of variable
elements.

Open or create a variable data document design.
Note: You can select Show grid to
display grid lines and to display the real-time X and Y coordinates of
selected objects in your design.

Select one or more variable objects. To select more than one variable object,
use one of the following methods:
- Click to select a variable and Shift-click to add additional variables
to the selection.
- Select an area by clicking on the master page and dragging the cursor
until the box is the desired size to select all of the variables contained
within the selected area.

Specify the X value in points to offset the selection from the left edge of the
design.

Specify the Y value in points to offset the selection from the top edge of the
design.

Specify the W value in points to change the selection width.

Specify the H value in points to change the selection height.
Note:
Width and height adjustments are not available for all barcode types.
