FreeForm Create can automatically recognize barcode type names in your data source column header and select the correct barcode type when you add a barcode to your master file.

1. Specify a barcode type in the barcode column header of your data source. See the Appendix: Supported barcode types for a list of the barcode type format codes.
2. In the Design window, select a barcode element for the Navigation panel and drag it to your design.
   The correct barcode type will be automatically selected in the Properties panel under Type.

   Note: Even if you don't specify the barcode type name in your data source, FreeForm Create performs an initial data validation when you add a barcode to a page, and automatically displays in the Type list only barcode types that could be a possible match. You can type the first letter of the desired barcode to automatically jump to that section in the list.
3. You can set the Show text toggle switch in the Properties panel to show or hide barcode text.
