Add a variable field to a page in a variable data document design.

1. Create or open a variable data document design.
2. Use the navigation bar to navigate to the page where you want to add the variable.
3. In the Design pane, find the variable field you want to add. Use the Search for variable fields box located on the design pane to search through the variables.
4. Click on the variable and drag it to your desired location on the page.
5. Edit the variable properties listed in the Properties pane as desired. See Variable field properties for a list of variable properties.
